Ingredients and Materials
Constructed from premium solid hardwood (commonly maple or ash) with a protective finish. Features padded underarm rests and vinyl- or foam-covered handgrips for comfort, steel adjustment hardware and pins for secure height settings, and rubber non-slip tips for traction. Specific materials may vary slightly by manufacturer—refer to the product specifications for exact composition.
How to Use
1. Adjust crutch height so the top of the underarm pad sits about 1–2 inches below the armpit when standing straight. 2. Set the handgrip so your elbow bends slightly (about 15–30°) when holding it. 3. Use with the recommended gait for your injury: tripod or four-point for stability, or three-point for non-weight-bearing on an injured leg. 4. Place crutches firmly on the ground before transferring weight; keep rubber tips dry and replace them when worn. 5. Inspect hardware and padding regularly and tighten bolts as needed.
Who It’s For
Ideal for adults and larger-framed users needing temporary or short-term underarm crutch support following fractures, sprains, surgery or other mobility impairments. Well-suited to home care, first aid situations, physiotherapy and rehabilitation programs. Not recommended for children or for long-term use where axillary pressure must be avoided—consider forearm or platform crutches for those needs.
Caution & Storage
Use under medical guidance if recovering from surgery or serious injury. Avoid prolonged pressure under the armpits to prevent nerve or tissue damage—support weight via hands and wrists. Inspect crutches before each use for cracks, loose hardware or worn rubber tips; replace components as needed. Do not exceed the product weight limit—consult the manufacturer’s label. Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and moisture. Clean with mild soap and water and dry thoroughly.
